Individualism

I was wondering what to post next because it's been sometime. But on my way home from work this afternoon I was thinking to share something about one of the things I have noticed with Canadians. I ride the bus and the skytrain everyday and I had noticed eversince that people are too quiet and a lot have earphones. People here are too individualistic. In the paper today there was a tourist that said "that canadians are selfish" pertaining to her experience on the skytrain like mine.

Being individualistic is ok to a certain extent but when relationships are affected I think it is too much. Being individualistic is ok because it enhances once abilities and capabilities and self esteem, but then too much of it has the tendency to isolate a person from others.

As a Filipino I don't appreciate it particularly here in Canada. Canadians are good and friendly but don't smile and laugh much and do not really relate much like Filipinos do. no offense. Just opinions and observation.
